McCall's 5919 is a muu-muu pattern from 1978 that I purchased on eBay. A long dress that falls straight to the floor from a gathered yoke, it has raglan sleeves and patch pockets. The fabric, a blue and green striped remnant from Hawaiian Fabric, had been in my stash for a few years. The dress turned out much too long, and I shortened it by almost 10cm. Obviously it was designed to be worn with high platform-soled sandals. Now that it's complete, I love its gracious Queen of the South Seas look.
