This pattern is semi-fitted rather than loose-fitting, as described on the envelope. Its shape comes from vertical darts, front and back; there are no horizontal bust darts. The sleeves are long and the cuffs wide, so check and amend before you cut out. The neck is low cut and the collar is long and pointy, and spreads widely; altogether the collar is quite bulky. On my third attempt I trimmed the collar slightly. The sleeve has faced slit, not a placket, so it's easy to sew. This is an easy and useful pattern. Don't be put off by the photo on the envelope.
