I found this discontinued shirt pattern (published in 2002) on eBay. It is a classically cut shirt with a subtle twist: vertical darts in the front and back, especially deep in the front, rather than bust darts. Possible variations include different collars, cuffs and an optional ruffle.
I let out the front darts by about 3cm and lengthened the body and sleeves by about 2cm each. The result seems to be a good fit.
My fabric is a Japanese striped cotton from Tessuti (www.tessuti-shop.com).
My second effort at this pattern is in a blue version of Liberty of London`s Thorpe.
