I made a short trip to Muenster for the Easter weekend, spending half of the time on the plane and transitting at Frankfurt Airport, gazing at the rain outside the windows for 7 hours. The day I arrived in Muenster and the day I left it was raining, as predicted on the Internet weather information - rain, rain, rain. But, I was very fortunate, for during the only full day when I was there the weather turned out to be terrific.
Muenster is a lovely and quiet medieval town, and what made this Easter more memorable was that I met a kind-hearted, helpful and generous lady Amelie, who had lived in Paris for a long time. We communicated in French and English. After this trip, we have become friends.
After leaving Muenster, I stayed in Frankfurt overnight. About 2 hours before leaving for the airport to catch my return flight to New York, the sun suddenly came out. I dashed to the Old Town area to catch a glimpse of the impressive architecture. I couldn't have asked for more from a 3-day overseas trip, which was supposed to be rainy for the whole 72 hours.
