The photos were taken on a river cruise trip from Moscow to St. Petersburg. The purpose of taking a river cruise instead of a bus tour was that I wanted to see some smaller towns on the way. The slow pace was expected, yet the plus side was that I made friends not only from my tour group, but also a few tourists from other countries, the friendly staff on the ship, and last but not least, a great pianist Yunona, who is a music professor but just happened to be performing on the ship for 1 month to entertain us with her wonderful music, from Tchaikovsky's classic to the American jazz. We have become friends after this voyage on the Volga.
