According to architectural historian Kemal Kutgün Eyüpgiller an Isfendiyar Emiret Vizier named Hond Salar is known to exist during the 1430s. Therefore it is possible that this mosque bearing his name was from that era. Even though a metal placket on the door and the flat roof suggests a hundred years later, its minaret is certainly suggests the opposite at a much later period. Unfortunately though, it has seen many renovations that it lost its original design shape.
