Grapefruit macarons

These were made by and purchased at GARCES TRADING COMPANY in Philadelphia.
They're ok, but they're not as good as French macarons....

BTW ~ the macaroons are sitting on a ruffled heart-shaped plate! :)

They still do look good, Stephanie. My son makes his own macarons in many different flavors after tasting them in Paris while on his honeymoon. They are a LOT of work and took a lot of experimentation on his part to get them right. Makes us appreciate them more though. Macarons don't have much of a shelf life so we're always forced to eat them in the 3 day window of perfection. Blueberry is my fave. I'll have to check out Garces in Philly to compare. Delicious photo by the way. V.
