I created this site to highlight the 18,000 acre Larose Forest, with its great wealth of animals and plants, and abundant hiking trails.

I've also added photos from other locations that I visit regularly, such as the Marlborough Forest, the K&P Trail, the Fletcher Wildlife Garden, etc.

Occasionally I add photos of people, and often, photos of my dog Tasha.

I find that photographing wildlife, in particular insects, reptiles and amphibians, is a good way to learn more about these little creatures that share the planet with us.

My current cameras are a Canon Powershot SX20 and Canon Powershot SX30.

I hope that you enjoy these galleries, and I certainly welcome your comments and suggestions. Since joining PBase I have learned a lot, and enjoy the people I've met through this site. The accomplished photographers have opened my eyes to new ways of thinking about photography. As for me, I am no photographer, but I definitely like taking photographs.
