Along the northeasten coast of Fujian Province stands Xiapu (Áø®ú), a small fishing town
which in recent years becomes an attractive spot for photo-feverists from all over China.

Why? Shoals and shores along the coastline, interplaying with tides and lights,
produced numerous stunning pictures which swept across many photographic competitions.

I visited Xiapu in early November 2007.
Though the lights and tides were not at their best, I was deeply impressed with
the spectacular patterns and repititions formed by the aqua-features along the coast.

I could certainly imagine how wonderful it would be should I come at the right place at the right time....

Very nice series. I just visited Xiapu in Nov but I went there to enjoy the marvellous seafood. Did not realise that it is such an excellent photographic destination.
