Dance Magic

This gallery represents a milestone in my dance protography!
I had 4 of the finest professional dancers in America from one of this countrie's most famous dance companies in my studio for 6 magical hours!
I had a plan for 4 different lighting setups but within that plan I asked the dancers to create. And create they did!

Richard, You must spent alot of time to think about how to compose those wonderful pictures. Environment set up, lights, theme, etc... Some photographers have good skills but they are not creative. To me, you have both. Again, my vote to your talents.

Hello Richard I truly think this is probably the best photography of this sort that I've seen. It's strange that in your title your referred to them as artist/athletes and although I didn't notice your words until posting this comment, it was what I kept thinking the whole way through the gallery. Sometimes it seems things become more than the separate parts, I think this gallery is like that in how it is so unified. The lighting, the movement, their timing and yours. Beautiful. YOU are creative!!! These images make me wonder why I'm in photography at all. My stuff is mundane, comparatively. It does help to have talent like your dancers, however. With a plan about setups, which is creative to begin with, you could let them go and fire away. Aplause, aplause, aplause!!!
