*******I HAD A KNEE REPLACED TUESDAY 9/29/15 BUT I'M BACK!********
Vietnam vet started shooting film, doing b&w darkroom in the 70's with Yaschica twin-reflex and Tri-X. After an extended non-photographic period, including fiften years playing around in Hawaii, I picked it up later while living in Hong Kong in the 90's using a Nikon F801s & Fujifilm. First digital body was a Canon Rebel, but its been all Nikon ever since.
I've traveled and shot in Bali and Lombak - Indonesia, Tibet, Yunnan, Guilin, Shinaghai & Beljing - China, Thailand, India, Viet Nam (my first return 25 years after the War), Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Macau, Bhutan, Malaysia and the Philippines.
Have shot all over the US Southwest & Northwest. Recent international trips were returns to China in '08, Bali in '12, then Greece in '13 and Morocco in '14.
I carry a Feisol CT-3441 carbon fiber travel tripod with Markins ballhead. Also use a slightly heavier aluminum SLIK.
In my late 60's now, with bursitis in both shoulders and one hip and a new knee in the immediate future, I'm returning to lighter DX gear.
Next up...Tuscany 2016!
