These images were taken at the Bisti Badlands in December 2007 and October 2011. Of all the places I have been in the Southwest this is the one area that made me feel like I was on another planet. This is a pretty trippy place. It was great to wander around and see all the forms that Bisti geology had to offer. This place has everything from hoodoos to mushroom rocks to badlands to petrified wood. I could never have run out of places to go since the Bisti Wilderness is about 47,000 acres in size. Movement was difficult since it had rained a few days before on both occasions I was there. The badlands were quite muddy and slippery and that made movement difficult and dangerous. I survived somehow.
All images taken with a Digital Rebel XT and t1i with various L lenses.
