The rock art on this page was taken at six different sites around Salt Lake City. Those sites are known as Willard Bay, Parrish Canyon, Stansbury Island, Story Rock, Davis Creek, and the Red Man Pictograph Site. The rock art here was generally created by the Fremont between 400-1400 AD. It is primarily done in a style known as the Western Utah Painted Style. The rock art isn't as nice as the Fremont rock art elsewhere. Anthropomorphs tend to be crude and painted in red. Some petroglyphs can be found in the area and are typically Fremont or archaic. The Story Rock site is different from the other areas in that the rock art was done by Hawaiian settlers in Utah between 1889 and 1917.
