Technically Incoherent

Sometimes there are pictures that aren't exactly technical perfection...but for some reason
I sort of like 'em and most times have no idea why. Sometimes add a little glow or contrast sometimes not.
Many overexposed/underexposed incorrect white balance and/or accidentally blurred..accidentental shutter fires etc.
Will be adding more (could add lots more - but limiting to the ones I like ;-) Thanks for looking

A great set, Barri! I echo the sentiments of the comments below - blurs and technical accidents can sometimes produce amazing, engaging results. You have some good examples here. V.

Barri, I know what you mean. I have some shots that I fall in love with that are out there and not much cared by others. I think we can know the rules and then break them thoughtfully or even accidentally and achieve an image that is a definite keeper. So glad you posted these and wrote about them.--Rene

Hi. I started thinking, because of a couple of comments...and really there are no "hard and fast" rules in photography. I had named the gallery 'technically incorrect' so 'incorrect' would suggest those hard and fast rules....a school master or teacher going to whip us with the blackboard pointer if we did something wrong ;-) And I've had that experience, so....I changed it to "technically incoherent" which in one definition can mean "loose" I like that title much better myself.

I echo the others, Barri - technically perfect photos can sometimes miss the human-ness & emotion of what the photographer is trying to achieve, but grab shots and 'less than perfect' photos can at times convey more about the subject and photographer than any so-called perfect shots... V (BTW, I think you're doing yourself a dis-service calling this gallery "Incorrect" :o))

A technically perfect photograph...is a technically perfect photograph. A photograph, which has 'something else'...really IS something else, something great. These images are fine examples of the latter. :-)
