Oman - Fjords in the Desert

Here is to endings and to new beginnings.

I am now back to taking photos again, and these are of the Musandam Coast in Oman. The sea there is magnificent, and no amount of photography can capture the overwhelming feeling of sailing through a landscape (claimed to be fjords, which clashes with my understanding that fjords are generally found in iceberg regions!) which is both barren and stunning at the same time. If you're lucky, you can even spot dolphins in the waters.

The best way to enjoy this place is to take a dhow cruise through this remote landscape, lie back, enjoy the sun, or take a dip in the emerald waters, and forget about life for a while. This is a slice of paradise for me.
