Colourful Istanbul





These are random shots of Istanbul, one of the most vibrant cities I've visited. Some people say that it's a blend of east and west, I see it as very much a western country with elements of Islam and the middle east round every corner. The red and white Turkish flag can be seen on every street, just like its people, it adds vibrance and distinctiveness to the whole place.

There is lots to see in Istanbul - mosques and churches, markets, dervishes and lots of good food round every corner. A few days in Istanbul is guaranteed to energise anyone! A really great city.

i agree with you about Istanbul.. such a mix more near to west, but with a deep influence of east...
and this present also mixed with feelings of history ... of three empires , capital..
