Most commerce in the middle Exumas all the way down to the Ragged Islands is conducted via mailboat. The motor vessel Captain C is the ship that covers this area. M/V Captain C carries all sorts of goods from island to island or to/from Nassau and beyond.
Captain C came into Blackpoint while we were there. The large mailboat masterfully negotiated the tight anchorage near the government dock and pulled in to gathered cargo bound for Nassau and other islands to the north.
A large crane on the deck of the mighty workboat does the heavy lifting. It loaded everything from propane tanks to be filled in Nassau to pallets of woven goods to motorcycles belonging to a couple of stray passengers. Those living in these cays know the schedule of M/V Captain C and routinely meet it at the dock to receive their mail and other packages they have ordered from around the world. We recently met the mailboat in Georgetown to pick up our mail from the states.

As I have always liked well shot working boats, I was destned to love this grouping. The silhouette on the top image, however, is over the top. Vote
