Finally this camera repreents a major move for Fuji. After years of trying to hype up interest in their cameras with SuperCCD claims of 12 MPs etc But falling completely short with excess noise, Fuji has come out with a decent camera this time. Fujifilm Finepix F10 compares very well to the 7MP cameras like the Canon SD500 and the Sony P200 and in some cases even better results than the Nikon Coolpix 7900, Sony 150. I think its closest competitor is the Casio Exilim EX-Z750 which although priced slightly higher than the Fuji has some really compelling features.

Here are the PROS

1) It has a nice sturdy metal body, although not as sleek as and thicker than the Canon SD line.
2) Low noise although has purple fringing on some pictures.
3) Low light: Actually usable ISO 1600 setting. In some cases this eliminates the need for the the image stablization.
4) Very good ...

My little FUJIFILM F10 has captured every picture I have taken during the past 11 months. I have been known to complain about its itsy bitsy lens, and inability to take great telephoto shots. But it has conquered skyscrappers and rundown tenaments , grapes on the vine and rainbows in the sky . Its lack of viewfinder has irked me a time or two. Still, I have used it everyday to remember sunrises and plants growing, rocketship launches and people laughing. It has given us videos, slideshows, and images of the moon. It has worked from the air and been on ocean voyages . It is always with me. Its small size allows that. Here lately, I had been looking at other cameras. Maybe something that will allow more control over aperture settings and shutter speed. I quickly decided,no. I'm going to keep this little F10. It hasn't taken its best picture yet. I edited this Fuji F10 video slideshow recently. Small Bandwidth users click here

I've had this camera for a little while now, and I adore it! Whether I use it as a snap-happy portable camera to carry everywhere with me instead of lugging my chunky dSLR around, or use it purposefully as a main camera, it produces beautiful shots.
So easy to use, lots of range, excellent quality at 6M pixs.
My only TINY criticism would be that the large viewing screen can be difficult to see in bright daylight. Other than that, it's perfect!

I wanted a camera capable of taking near SLR quality pictures but without the trouble of having to carry a big heavy camera such as the D70 (especially when you are on holidays or going out with friends!). it takes very sharp noiseless pictures and that's all I need! If you want to have a look at some pictures of Patagonia taken with the F10:

I think it's one of the greatest little pocket camera on the market.
Great colour, blazing performance, incredibly clean picture even on high ISO!
I love this camera. My Fuji gallery:
