Wanda 11_09_05B.jpg

Wildlife photography skills meet with glamour. I just had to get Wanda and all her golden locks into this scene. The high, thin, overcast made for fantastic soft light. What a perfect afternoon. We took about 100 exposures. Almost every one was perfect straight from the camera.

Here is a later shot taken from the other direction. I thought the light coming from behind would really make her hair stand out http://www.pbase.com/image/52050505

Here is another shot http://www.pbase.com/image/52047168

Just superb. As you say, optimal conditions but you nailed the focus and bokeh, too. She really looks like she might ravish you! Great '70s supervixen feel to this. V.

exactly what I thought when I saw this photo was mentioned already... a beautiful lioness ... Exquisitely monochrome .. brings out the texture and form.. i like the way the weeds slant up with Wanda as part of the composition

Really gorgeous. Perfect dof and the colors that went soft in the background just tie the whole thing together. Wonderful shot.

Leaves me breathless. As we have discussed before....who here is really the prey? Oh to fall victim to such a beauty in the wild! Something tells me I would not be found running away.

Two really creative and talented shots. Good way to keep wardrobe costs down on the set.

A daily looker....missing an old friend!

Bob...I wondered how long it would be before someone noticed or mentioned the doe photo from last week. It was this image that inspired mehttp://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/image/51744095

Dave and Steve,

Bill had instructed Me to fluff up My hair so that it resembled a lions mane. I did the best I could. What Bill really wanted to do was round up some body paint and have Me painted with tiger stripes! I guess with My hair, if we had done that, I would have looked like a "Ligress"??

Anyway, we didn't find any body paints, and even if we had, I lack the artisitic ability to have painted Myself anyway. So, this image will just have to do!

Oh, and it was about 60 degrees. .. generally I FREEZE if it isn't at least 80! Bill is lucky I was in a good mood this day, otherwise he would have never gotten Me nekkid in November!

Bill and Wanda, when it comes to your continuing wonderful photography, you truly are both "outstanding in your field" and today you absolutely proved it! Thank you!!! :-)

Go ahead and tell her Wes, , , she will just roll her eyes and say something like "yep, that sounds like something Wanda would do". (GRIN)

I'm obviously hanging out inthe wrong fields....
You could not ask for more from the light in this one.
Karthik Raja10-Nov-2005 03:37
This is awesome. The light is indeed great. Brings out all of Wanda's beauty. Not that she needs any help to bring it out.
dave 10-Nov-2005 03:28
the colors are perfect
Jim McKinlock10-Nov-2005 03:20
Bill,
OMG! That is perfect, so glad to see you got over your creativity slump, I knew Wanda would bring you out of it. The weather and lighting sure doesn't look like the gloom you described the other day, glad mother nature gave you this opportunity. Can you please post the other 99 perfect shots? Please?
Wanda,
You look so young in this shot, hard to believe you're only going to turn 29 in a few more weeks, I would have guessed younger.
Jv 10-Nov-2005 03:08
I'll say it again... you have to be one of the luckiest guys that I don't know. Skilled photographer and one who has been blessed with an exceptional wife/model/partner!
Guest 10-Nov-2005 03:07
This is really stunning. Love the softness in her hair and how her skin tones blend with the background. She looks like an angel
