Doe Mule Deer 11_03_05.jpg

Wanda and I took a drive up into the mountains behind the house. It was great we saw deer, elk and got to watch some ol' cowboys push their cows out of the high country.

It was a great day!

Jim, we live right at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. We can be in the canyon and National Forest within five minutes of our home.

We often see deer, elk and at least once a moose in our yard.

This photo was taken about a half hour drive from home. This photo, taken over a year ago, was taken very near where the deer photo was taken today. We live at the base of the mountain (you know Wanda's mountain) http://www.pbase.com/image/33471001

Terrific shot.

That 300mm lens is some piece of glass. The Bokeh is excellent. And in your skilled hands you make a perfect pair.

Nice shot Bill. I'm always amazed when you say something like "took a drive up the canyon" or took a drive to some mountain, how close is all this beautiful scenery to you? It sounds like a very short drive. For me a drive to see scenery like this is an all day venture, you are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place.

Excellent. The deer really Pops!

Nicely done. I like the contrast of the grey deer and the pale colour of the background.
