Kevin was the son of Walter and Maria D'Amour. The D'Amour family lived across the street from the Sullivan family on the corner of W. 55th Place and 11th Avenue where I hung out most of the time from 1957 to 1966 with the five Sullivan brothers. Kevin's brother was Kenneth and his sister was Jeanette.

Walt was an airline pilot and flight engineer, at one time with TAN Airlines of Honduras and later with National Airlines and Pan American World Airways as a flight engineer. Maria was a teacher and she was always very nice to us either at her home or when she was visiting Jane Sullivan, mother of the Sullivan boys.

At some point in time the D'Amour's moved to a lakefront home on the west side of W. 12th Avenue north of W. 72nd Street and later to Miami Lakes.

One of the D'Amour boys became a teacher at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School and taught one or both of my daughters there. Walt passed away on September 18, 2006, and a memoriam to him is at http://www.pbase.com/donboyd/mem_damour .
