Walt was a neighbor of the five Sullivan brothers that I hung out with starting in 1957 when the homes were built. He was a flight engineer for TAN Airlines, the airline of Honduras in the late 50's. He was hired by National Airlines after that and then Pan Am after they bought National in 1980. He was always a great guy to all of us kids in the neighborhood and his wife Maria was always very friendly and trying to keep us out of trouble. His son Kenneth taught Algebra II to my oldest daugher Karen at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High in the early 90's. Walt died on September 18, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 83. Godspeed old friend!
