Monumental reflection

Washington, DC view map

The Washington Monument is mirrored in the Reflecting Pool about 25 minutes
after sunset on a clear evening in Washington, DC. The U.S. Capitol can be seen
behind the Washington Monument. This is an image that has been captured by
photographers and tourists about 10 million times, but I felt the need to make it

Pat, I really like your blue sky! You'd be wrong on the guess though, the WWII monument is not that old (a couple of years) so the its lights at the end of the pond wouldn't be there from shots over a couple of years ago! Grea shot! GMV -BJ
