Pitigliano photos

Beautiful Pitigliano was the first stop after Rome.  Spent 2 nights there and visited Sorano and Sovana also. Sorano and Sovana (with its Etruscan museum) have been moved to their own gallery. No discipline yet with the photos that are up, culling to be done someday.

Beuatiful pictures. My wife and I were in Pitigliano in May 2008. It is my mother's home town. We visited some of my relatives. We are ready to go back. We love it there and all of Tuscany. We too have some great prictures.

We went in May, but it shouldn't make that big a difference. Definitely wasn't dry and dusty though there's plenty of rock and some associated sand. That's quite a family you have!

And I was told that Pitigliano was dry and dusty! It looks so lush and beautiful from your photos, especially the waterfall, and the beautiful greenery beneath the city walls! I'm definitely going there on my next trip to Italy. (The Orsinis and Aldobrandeschis are ancient ancestors of mine...)
