I'm not sure I can find adjectives that people haven't used already! Really nice work. Superb eye and superb technique to create the fine images -- hard not to love the results of the combination of the two. Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery: I will be definitely looking at your examples to learn how to do better myself. Thanks for sharing. Peter

Magnificent work over the BW technique. The images are quite strong and full of personality with great compositions. I just think that it could be a good idea to divide the images into themes as the amount of them and the mix of themes makes it a bit overwhelming to look at.

A truly amaizing gallery with some photographic "masterpieces". "His name is Mike" is one of my all time favorite pictures....ever. Also love the girls with the hats, the man with ciggie web, palm trees seen from below, etc, etc...there are some many.... Congratulations! GMV. This is one of those galleries that "SHOULD" be in the first pages of the popular section, as well as many of your individual images, but as you know, votes are not an indication of quality or talent. The most important thing is that "you know" and people spoke alredy: People's Choice in the Spider Awards. That is worth a million votes! Regards, Cesar.

While I too have a fondness for b&w, I can't help thinking the Aboriginal faces would be better served in color renditions. Perhaps you've done just that in your other galleries. Splendid overall work in this gallery.

Thanks Ray. For the most recent images, yes I use Fred Miranda's plug in. Excellent value and saves a heap of time. On occasion, I still do tweak the contrast as I like high contrast images.

Hi Tarik Thanks for your kind comments. I tend to use the Channels in PS6 choosing the most contrasting image. The blue channel is the most contrasting I've found. Then I fiddle with "Curves" until I get what I am looking for. I also use Fred Miranda's black and white actions http://www.fredmiranda.com - go to actions section. The answer to your second question - No, not many - the term "sheila" is rarely, thankfully, used now in Oz. Any other Sheila I have met either comes from the UK (as I did many years ago) or from New Zealand. Cheers Sheila

Amazing stuff Sheila, I have recently started trying the BW conversion in Photoshop by I can't see to get the strong blacks to come out as you have my stuff tends to looked slightly washed out. Any tips? TarikB p.s. Just how many Sheila's are they in Oz?
