Hi Andrew Uluru (or Ayers Rock as it used to be known) is slap bang in the middle of Australia about 300kms from Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. It rises out of the desert and is the biggest red sandstone rock in the world. This shot was taken at sunset which is possibly the best time to take any photo of "the Rock". Its sacred ground to the Australian aboriginals who own and run Uluru. Cheers Sheila
