On our last day of the trip, Dad and I stayed in Leuven (since it's reasonably close to the Brussels airport). Like every place we visited, Leuven is a great city for pedestrians to explore. Its medieval square is visually remarkable, for both the gothic cathedral and the medieval Stadhuis (city hall). Leuven's Stadhuis is probably the most over-decorated building I've ever seen. It was built in the 1400's and looks like it was decorated by a wedding cake designer.
