GALLERY:: On the Backroads of the Coastal Range ::2005

Californai's Central Valley is bordered by the Sierra-Nevadas on the East and the Coastal Range on the West. In April 2005 I explored the Southern Coastal range with Dave Wyman on one of his ImageQuest tours. Our journey focused on the oil rich area around Taft and the Carrizo Plain National Monument. Since this was a trip of exploration I took some back roads on my way to join up with the workshop and made a short stop at the Pinnacles National Mounument.

Looks as if it was a great trip, Tim. It makes me wish I could have been there with you and Dave. I particularly enjoyed your very special incongruous visions of the past, most of which only you would have had the eye to see. I left about a half dozen comments on those that seized my imagination.
