I don't know if President Obama sampled a slice of this brack (rich bread) launched in his honour
by an enterprising bakery, but he did drink a pint of Guinness when he visited the small Co Offaly
village of Moneygall, from where his grandfather's grandfather emigrated during the famine.
Up to 100,000 people crowded into College Green in the heart of Dublin to hear him
speak of his Irish roots and of the close links between Ireland and America.
Unfortunately fears that the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano may disrupt flights
means that President Obama is flying to London tonight and won't be staying over in
Ireland.
