A: Administration

Roseby's were a chain of small shops selling curtains, bedding and towels etc. Always handy to pop in there for the odd item but they have fallen victim to the credit crunch under the pressure of competition from the bigger stores, especially in view of lack of house purchases.

They were placed into administration in September so that accountants could sort out a future business in new hands. Some shops were sold off to Edinburgh Woollen Mill, but my local branch seems to have closed it doors for the last time.

Let me add my condenses too. These times are really hard now, and businesses have to really fight hard to stay above water! I see this is affecting Britain hard as well. Lets just hope that these difficult times will end sooner than later! I love how you shot this...the smaller sign leads the eye right into the large message.

Bummer. Sometimes progress ain't all it's cracked up to be. Sigh.
Nicki Thurgar01-Dec-2008 19:03
Oh no! I remember Rosebys... it's getting quite scarey the amount of companies falling victim to this credit crunch now... :o(
