Message from Russ Rose
Seems like I have been taking pictures for ever. Bought my first film camera in 1969, a Konica, and still have it. I stopped taking pictures for a while but started again in 1993. Purchased a Nikon F3 in 1994. Started photoshop in the mid 90's, have taken classes in both photography and photoshop. Feel like I am a beginner in so many ways. There is always more to learn. I am on my second digital camera. Both Nikons, D100 when they were the top of the line and then a D70 with the D100's mirror broke during a wedding. (I reverted to the backup camera, a N70). My wife supports my habit. Caren tells people that she is my camera slave, as she is there as my support person. She tells people to just get used to me with a camera because that is just the way that it is.
Joined pbase over a year ago and just started a PAD. The PAD group has opened up a whole new community for me. I appreciate their support. This is truly a world wide community of people who enjoy their craft. I hope that I can support others as much as they have supported me. With people like I have been introduced to in Pbase, the world would be at peace. This is a wonderful group of people. I look forward to meeting some of you in person while Caren and I travel.
