Hi & welcome!
I'm a professional pet & house sitter. CITS 4 PETS serves Walnut Creek, Alamo & parts of Lafayette in California. Licensed & insured.
I got my 1st digital camera, Panasonic Lumix FZ18 in 2008 to take photos of my PET SITTING client's pets. I have 5 pocket pals & 1 Arabian horse. Many of my shots are done while on the job or riding my horse on the trails.

I do not know much about post editing, just very basic & can do a bit of selective coloring. I rely on what I see through the lens, & walking around a subject for different viewpoints. Often I will bracket the exposures.
My personal favorite gallery of my own inanimate subjects is Windows.http://www.pbase.com/cits_4_pets/looking_out) exterior to interior mostly with available light though a fill flash is used occasionally. I did not think my small sensor camera would produce worthy interior low light shots but it has surprised me. I have not used my old Nikon since...the weight causing havoc with my neck is one reason but do miss some of the warmth of film.
