Hi & welcome!
I'm a pro pet & house sitter. CITS 4 PETS serves Walnut Creek, Alamo & parts of Lafayette in Calif. Licensed & insured.
I got my 1st digital camera, Panasonic Lumix FZ18 in 2008 to take photos of my PET SITTING client's pets. Many of my shots are done while on the job or riding my horse on the trails. June 2012 got a micro 4/3 camera so hopefully can get some nice low light images & nature shots with minimal noise. (FZ could do well but 72x zooms on birds not so hot! - since I posted all species of birds I've ever shot some are pretty bad.)
Just learning a bit of post editing. I rely on what I see through the lens, & walking around a subject for different viewpoints & exposures.
Dec. 2011 moved to Rossmoor, ~10,000 community of active adults. In June 2012 joined the Rossmoor Camera Club. RCC has non-competitive exhibits as well as 2 competitions a month in 3-4 categories each competition. Competition images are anonymous & no signatures allowed. Judges critique each image so a great learning experience. RCC is a member of Northern Calif. Council of Camera Clubs. Winners & 2nd place images from the RCC categories go to N4C for judged competition among all the other clubs. N4C: http://n4c.photoclubservices.com
July 2012 started to play around with manipulating images for competitions & as a lark for a Pbase competition but found altering reality fun!
My personal favorite gallery of my own inanimate subjects is Windows.http://www.pbase.com/cits_4_pets/looking_out) exterior to interior mostly with available light though a fill flash is used occasionally. I did not think my small sensor camera (FZ18) would produce worthy interior low light shots but it did produce most of the images.
Thank you & enjoy. Constructive comments appreciated, if there is something better I could have done it would be nice to know. Votes are appreciated for worthy images & galleries.
Worked for Lifetouch National School Studios taking assembly line mug shots at schools. Flo 'n Images was my FBN & shot architecture for Homes & Land of Contra Costa County magazine - Drive by Shootings as I called them. Also did a bit of concert photography getting images published internationally.
I try to look at galleries of people who leave comments. If I think an image or gallery is Excellent I will vote though do not always leave a comment for images that I vote for but usually will leave a comment for galleries I vote for.
Please contact me if you would like to use my images for publication. No fee for non-profit organizations. Thank you for viewing! Unauthorized use will result in a $150.00 fee per photo.
