BURMA : The Shan's Golden Land.

Shan people represents about 9 % of the total population of Burma.
They are mainly living in the east of the country. Most of them are Buddhist and they call themselves "Taï" because of the ethnic, cultural and linguistic links with the Taï from Thailand, Laos and Yunnan.
The land of the Shan is simply beautiful, rising from the valley of Irrawady up to the green mountains of The Golden Triangle, through clear lakes and hills covered by waving sesame fields, tangerine trees, tea plantations and rice fields terraces.
Walking on this golden land you can meet a lot of colorful tribes like Pa-O, Intha, , Palaung, Akha, Eng, Lahu....
A feast for the eyes.
