The wind of the desert...when it is filled with love
Indeed...
And this "wind from the desert" does create art
the only way mother nature can,
sculpting with love and through time...
The keen eye of Mostafa captures these beauties
in places very few of us can ever go visit.
Often, it makes me wish i could just pack....and go.
Art...by mother nature and the fine observants that capture its magnificence.
Here i wanted to honour two fabulous artists.
Father and son.
This amazing shot was taken by the father, Mostafa Moftah, from the desert, in Egypt.
The superb drawing is from his son, Mohamad Moftah, as creative as his father.
It is obvious, talent "runs" in the family and they both are inspired artist
both touching me deeply.
They have a magical way of expressing their art
and i wanted to share this with you all
by "mixing together" two separate images they individually produced.

The rock is eroded into alternating ridges and furrows essentially parallel to the dominant wind direction. Walking on the wing of his dreams...
Living life, one flight at a time
He has been touched by an angel at birth;
Probably his mother.
At a very early age, his papa introduced him to the
Man made birds that leave fields to go play with the clouds.
That is when he first started to notice the magic of the birds
making one with the blue of the sky and silently wished he too could fly.
Soon after that, came his fascination and intrigue for the wonders of the universe
and his fondness to seek beauty in places where only few can see.
He opened his heart and his beautiful mind
to the wonders of the universe and never stopped since.
He's got this unquenchable thirst for experiencing life at a higher level
in more than one way.
Under and above the clouds.
He can hear, see and feel the splendour of our world like only few can.
I think his parents did not have a clue by then and still don't get it... today.
Once upon a few times, a place, called hell by many,
left a mark as permanent as the signature of a DNA marker on a cell.
The distinctive aroma of the streets in Kabul seduced him
The touching laughter of the children in those streets made his heart smile
The infinite beauty of the HinduKush took his breath away
The subtle perfume of the flowers in the desert became a secret calling
Hence all those memories written in the countless colours of sand
Forever and a day… where all becomes possible.
Very few people will give you flowers if you are number two
in the eyes of society.
Christiaan is this type of accomplished man,
he can see and appreciate beyond superficialities.

His style...
Touches me…
Tasteful, modern, classical, classy, original…
His perception for colours, atmospheres,
aesthetics and human nature do something to me.
I had a hard time to choose two images to depict who I feel he is…
I chose first his SP with his signature hat then it got complicated. I love all of what he does…
So, because it was impossible to choose a second image, I opted for one he made at the “Petit Palais” of one of the images of Patrick Demarchelier that he immortalized. I think this mix of images depict pretty well all the colours in the world of Jean-Luc, behind his hat that I adore.
And it is funny, on this composite image…the 3 of them seem to have the same look… ;)

Miserere....
In case anybody had any doubts, the religion of men (women, children, old, etc…) does not move me at all... It intrigues me and I don’t really understand what men do for religion, why in the name of religion…they go kill or hurt or dominate others... I just don’t get this. But, this is totally beside the point. Perhaps I am saying this here because I find this next photographer being somebody with a voice… The images of Francesco speak volume and are of an incredible strength. They can leave no one indifferent. Some people (ignorants in my mind) take them personally…sigh. The images of Francesco speak volume when most people prefer to turn their heads and pretend IT (whatever it is…) does not exist. Once in a while, to stop and think what any of us could do to be part of the solution instead of the problem…, to do one thing different to change things, would not hurt at all. As I always repeat, it takes only one to make a difference…
