Message from Adalberto Tiburzi
Let me think...
an idea for this space...
My favourite photo of the moment? Yes . . . . . .
Bio
Born: Rome 1944.
First photos in 1957 with his father's camera.
First publications some years later at the age of 20, starting the season of handheld architectural photography.
Regular studies of Architecture, Mathematics and Philosophy (abandoned for recurrent attacks of boredom...).
Political essayist.
Journalist (editor)
Advertising (copywriter)
As a photographer, featured in books, newspapers, magazines.
But what he's really fond of, is the little essay Linear Perspective and Non-Euclidean Geometries, 1963,
in which he demonstrated (contrarily to the common belief of the time) that the dramatic perspective of superwide lenses
is coherent with reality and not the result of any geometric distortion.
Note:
A true Aquarian, he is a free culture advocate. So his photos are not for sale (also because he estimates them priceless ;-).
Downloading and sharing is free under some conditions, click here for info.
In 2008 he suspends his photographic activity, yet leaving his sites open and posting from time to time.
Adal on Photography
"To me photography is a sort of 'dreaming while awake', some visionary power applied to reality. The rest (so to say) is light and angle"
"My images can't be completely explained in words. A residue always remains. It is their silence, that's what really matters"
"Some people have the ability to perceive the clear yet subdued signals that others don't detect. So, the others call it intuition, or luck"
"I don't communicate to reveal myself. I hide myself in my communication. Dans ma communication, je me cache"
"Je n'aime pas les immeubles. Même lorsque je les photographie, j'ai besoin de les faire danser" (the pun is untranslatable, sorry :-)
"The worst thing an artist can do is to resist something, even death. To resist death, that's the true suicide"
"First live, then photograph. Photographs are the fallen leaves of life, les feuilles mortes de la vie "
"Photographs never have to tell a story. Photographs are the story"
"Luck in photography? It's what you realize have had only when back home"
"In the Beginning is the Image. The Logos (sometimes) follows "
