Industrial Architecture

This is the factory were I work , its a bit of a blot on the landscape due to its missmatch of architecture ranging from the 50's to the present date. Anyone who visits, always comments that its a real unusual setting for a factory. It was put there during the second world war, and I suppose the country had other more pressing matters back then.

I do like the layered effect! And those buildings are so close to the cattle...
Cindi Smith06-Jul-2009 00:52
The cow doesn't seem to mind! Nice shot!

I like the cow in the image.

I would rather prefer the landscape without this kind of architecture.

Quite a contrast having the lush rural setting!

It looks nice from the outside...hope it's not too bad on the inside!! D'you know, the more I look at it the more I think it's not *that* bad, Kevin...I've seen a lot worse! And you don't have far to get out into the lovely green countryside :o))

Well that is the way it goes. And now everybody is used to the building being there.
A very nice impression of how it sits in the landscape.

Sounds like one of those complexes that just grew...good overview of the site.

The bovine in the foreground is a nice touch

Did they forget to put the stairs in and have to stick 'em on the outside?? ;o)
Dennis Warren03-Jul-2009 21:58
Some blots outweigh the bad...pleasant setting and employment

At least their trying to be green with the wind turbine, nice shot.
Mairéad03-Jul-2009 18:47
I'm sure the view out is very nice though.
Astrid Taen03-Jul-2009 16:22
Are they going green with the wind turbine? Nice contrast.

What a combination of power sources!

It's a blot alright, but it also provides much welcome jobs.
Walter Otto Koenig03-Jul-2009 15:09
Good job in this layered image with all these buildings. An unusual site for a factory.

Sympathetic eyes did not consider the countryside in past years.... more's the pity.
