May 27: Feet up

On a whim, I started a PC rebuild last Friday. I was a bit short of disk space, so I thought, let's back up the data and start again from scratch, using the two 40gig drives to better effect. Then, on another whim, I decided that replacing one of the drives with a 160gig would be time and money well spent, and what the heck, another 256Mb memory wouldn't hurt either. Only these things are never so easy! Nearly a week and several small (but annoying) problems later, here I am, copying my data back on to the new drive. Or rather, here I am with my feet up enjoying a coffee, and reading Mac User while the PC gets on with the data. Macs are so much easier...

Relaxing Picture. PC rebuilt is child's play for me. I build a PC nearly every 2 days, so, no wonder. A bigger disk is a good investment and prices are quite ok at the moment, so no reason to have no disk space anymore.

Neat shoes or as we use to say in New England where I grew up, "nice sneakers". As for Macs, they have their own problems :)

Lara's comment is so astute and funny. I emphathize with you. NO PC "redo" is every short or simple!

MACs are awsome. You look so relaxed for someone who's having PC issues.
