Jan 26: Rosie

Rosie is very difficult to photograph. As much due to her blackness as to her inability to sit still. When Rosie came to see what I was doing with the lights, I got lucky and managed to grab this and a few more before she got bored of SIT - STAYing. The exposure was complete guesswork. No chance of her hanging around while I took a flash reading!

Update: After I posted this pic, I found another shot from the same session that I like even better. See it here.

This photo inspires me to do a similar portrait of my boy Rags. Thanks for sharing.

What a great image! I love how she's filling the space but her eye is central. She looks very soft and pettable. :-) Great name too.

Excellent capture. I also find my dogs hard to photograph but I keep trying.

Very nice black shot. This is also a good stardard for me to tune my monitor!

Lovely light, with just that solitary colour in the eyes.

Cute!! I like your composition here and the detail in the fur is excellent. -- angela :)

This is so good. Appears that I can just reach and pet her.
