First an admission - I'm not a football fan. However I went to a networking meeting at the ground today and couldn't resist snapping the sign outside on the way out. This is just as it came out of the camera :)

It was the review meeting of Chemicals NW (a cluster group of the NWDA), based on a monopoly theme, and it worked well, with Philippa Forrester hosting. Several interesting contacts to follow up tomorrow. Few other shots below. The first is the Imperial War museum building at Salford Quays - almost my PaD, but my home advisors wanted the Utd shot...



I'm constantly pleased by the low light performance of the 8800 - just need a heavier weight tripod now. And to learn how to use the manual settings to cope with the bright light/ dark background situations.
