We used to have 10p deposit on lemonade bottles too.

I remember that too. It was penny candy and Frostie rootbeer for me. Back then, 25 cents could take care of you all day! I often think about what kids miss today by not having the option of collecting bottles like we did when we were young.

This photo reminds of when I was little, and I'd go scouring the neighborhood for pop bottles. For the longest time, bottles were worth 2 cents each, and I thought I was rich if I could bring home a haul of 8 or 10 bottles. Then, one magical day, the refund jumped to 5 cents, and instantly my fortunes more than doubled! I bought alot of Zero candy bars, and rootbeer with those empties... :)
