Since Thursday, I have been following the storm, Hurricane Sandy on TV.

By tonight, 2AM, the effects of up to 75MPH winds and flooding rain will be felt, give or take, time wise.

Last year about this time, Hurricane Irene put us out of electric for days
with lots of damage to our trees with snow and rain.

This time, I am ready, well sort of. Can one ever be ready for a natural disaster?
My kids are happy, there is no school for Monday and Tuesday, which I thought there wouldn't be.

I remember, Hurricane Andrew in Florida, August 1992, I took a plane out early home from West Palm Beach to avoid the Hurricane on my vacation.
So I have never experienced one nor do I really want to.
Hopefully by Wednesday, the hurricane will be out of here and hope to document what damage it does to the area.

Update - we are ok. Power came on after 48 + hours' with some damage to barn and some house roof. Praying for others with still no power and/more losses. No phone, cable or internet access so be back when I do. Thank goodness for smartphones.
