funny you ask - i tried (without expending extraordinary effort) to select out the background to blur it, but it was just too much work for the limited amount of free time i have these days. I agree it would make a better picture - ah, what I would give for a few weeks of 30 hour days....regards...Keith

Keith, I really like the shape and symmetry of the Menorah...a good subject choice & well-exposed. (*)If there was any way to blur or simplify the brick background, it might draw even more attention to the Menorah itself; however, this might not be possible to do...or too tedious a task to accomplish. Is any other choice of angle/perspective available here to obtain a different background to the Menorah? Can the Menorah be moved...or can it be shot from down low looking up toward the sky? Just curious & interested. MFC
