It was stopped down to f8.0. This makes this one of Canon's sharpest (and highest resolution) lenses. I strongly recommend this lens.

Slick building! I like how it changes from opaque to transparent. Also, very nice color saturation and brightness while retaining detail in the water. I see your F1.8 lens helps out a lot in this respect. I would have expected the lights to bloom more because of the wide aperature, though.
