Wanda 08_30_05.jpg

Guess who got a day off....ME!!!! Wanda and I took a ride up the a nearby canyon looking for critters to photograph. I spotted a little area with great light reflecting off the red rocks. I had to get Wanda in that light. Wanda wasn't really ready or expecting to be in my PAD photo. If she had been expecting it; then the makeup, hair and wardrobe would have been photo ready. In reality, I don't care...I think she still looked fantastic :^)

Sometimes I see fantastic light. When I do I try to get a subject in that light. Today was one of those times.

I like it when you catch her in a more "natural" state w/o all the makeup. Great light and an excellent portrait.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments about make-up vs no make-up. It's just that even after all this time, I am still terribly camera shy and I especially don't like a lens pointed My way when I am not looking My best. Is that insecurity or vanity? As I think about that question I have decided that when I was younger it was insecurity, now that I am aging , it's vanity! (laffin)

Poor Bill, he really has to work hard when I don't wanna be the victim of his photography. I had a terrible headache when this picture was taken and the wind kept blowing My hair into My face and I simply was not in the mood for this shot. But of course Bill didn't give up. The lighting IS great and here is an image of Me not smiling. That should make one of our "guests" happy because I know they had commented long ago that I can't possibly be a smiley person all the time! So there ya go! Me with a headache, , , , , but still a good sport, all things considered.

Did you drive Wanda's new miata? Sounds like a perfect day.

WOW, two days in a row of Wanda! Thanks. (and Wanda, please don't worry about make-up. It has it's place, but, sometimes it's just not needed! Great pictures, Bill!

Bill, make-up ready or not, there's no better "critter" to photograph than Wanda. Great shot!!!

Bill, this is some terrific lighting, the color of the rocks blends nicely with Wanda's summer tan.
Wanda, what the heck is Bill talking about that you're not photo ready, hair and make-up look fine, don't see any chips in the finger nail polish, and as for wardrobe we all know you're a jean's and t-sirt kinda gal, so it all works just fine.

I never see critters like this when I go out!

There never seems to be any bad light for Wanda. She also needs to realize that we like to see here in all her beautiful to include without makeup and a true natural state. Thank you for the continuing post.
