This handgun is a 36 cal. Allen & Thurber Dragoon manufactured in Grafton, Mass in the 1830's. The letters and paperwork are from the War of the Rebellion/Northern Aggression. The table is an old family piece and was made before the Revolutionary War.

I used a couple of old oil lamps to light the picture and added just enough fill flash to get the exposure to 30 seconds. I really kind of hated adding the flash.
