Late this afternoon we spent a little time watching wildlife. We saw one flock of wild turkeys, that numbered over 100 birds, in a near by canyon. This is Wanda using her new Canon 10x20 Image Stabilized binoculars, that I gave her this year for Christmas. I have used Canon Image Stabilized lenses now for two years and I love them. The technology works great in Canon's binoculars, too.

This image really does nothing for Me. It aint cute but it aint ugly. I suppose if ya wanted something to put in a sporting goods catalouge this might be an ok image. I have to say though, it was easy to pose for, so from that standpoint, I LOVED it! (grin)

Ken, they are really great binoculars. Can't tell you how much I look forward to spring and the beginning of your sailing season. I miss the great boat photos you take.

We use the same Canon IS binoculars on the boat to counteract the action of the waves. They work wonders! We can find racing buoys and keep track of the competition.

Hey, fellow regulars, I have a suggestion. From here on out, let's not even dignify Guest's gutless comments. Wm is amazingly talented, Wanda is the perfect model, and the pictures are all wonderful and tasteful. So who cares what he thinks or feels? He visits all the time, so I think he likes the site more than he lets on. Probably a lot more. "Thou protesteth too much," Guest.

AS magnification increases hand shake begins to cause problems. The IS removes or counters the affect of shaky hands. It is kind of like the affect you get when putting your camera on a tripod. Ii just makes studying fine detail much easer.

Please pardon me for asking...but why is image stablization needed in binoculars> I mean I never have issues with stuff beign in focus in them..and if not taking a photo...where sharpness and focus are important, I think it is a bit unecessary?
