Wanda12_27_04.jpg

This was a quick portrait done in the studio. Both Wanda and I had full days at work and we're pretty beat. Wanda is wearing the shirt that Brandy gave her as a Christmas present this year.

As I recall, this one was a quick and easy photo session. Even though I was dog tired that day, I did manage to muster a smile. I like the way the lighting caught all the highlights in My hair that day. I have noticed that which side I part My hair on makes a difference on what highlights show. While I love the shirts Brandy bought Me for Christmas, I always feel uncomfy in them because they have long sleeves. I am not a big fan of long sleeves. They make Me feel so confined! But, I suppose in the middle of winter it's nice to have a shirt that can help keep Me warm. (s)

This is without a doubt, one of the best photos of Wanda I have seen to date. Simply breath taking!

Bill, … if you pull that hair light back further so that it’s shining on her hair from above and behind, you would have a stunning rim light effect that will give all of her hair that nice glow and “halo” effect. If you don’t have a snoot or barn doors and need to use the umbrella, you may need to use a gobo to shield the light from the camera lens, but the effort is worth the finished image! (Sounding like the cereal commercial), … “Try it! You’ll like it!” You almost have it now in this image.

Blue has always been my favorite color . . . now I know why! Wanda, your eyes have always had that beautiful color, but the shirt just compliments them wonderfully well. Bill, a great shot for a quick portait at the end of the day.

The color of the shirt definately compliments Wanda's eyes and I always seem to like the way you light Wanda's hair Bill, be it natural light or flash. Most of my fav. pics Wanda's hair has a glow to it. I think you've got the hang of that. Of course Wanda's smile doesn't hurt any, and I think she's starting to get the hang of this modeling thing, well, about nine month's ago. keep up the great work. Jim

I knew that shirt would look good with your eyes. Very pretty picture. Good job Dad.

Wanda has never messed with her hair color. The highlights are a lighting trick. I have a flash bounced off a silver umbrella on a boom about 1 1/2 a foot above her head. You can also see the effect of that light on her left shoulder, the tops of the wrinkles in her sleeve and on her right hand fingers. The hair light was set a little hotter than the key light.

Tired? Man, what kind of photos will you two produce when you're bright-eyed and bushy-tailed? This photo is wonderful -- and of course, Wanda is her usual beautiful self. I gotta get tired and go find a tired model.

Did you lighten your hair or is this a lighting trick?
Either way, it's a good look for you.
