Wanda11_16_04.jpg

Well, I guess we need to turn down the new fan we have in the studio. Not really; but, it is interesting how rotating the image can change the feel of an image.

Here is a black and white version with the original portrait orientation http://www.pbase.com/image/36449876

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
1/40s f/8.0 at 70.0mm iso200 with Flash full exif

other sizes: medium small large original auto

Looking back at this image I have decided I like the black and white one better. The difficult thing about this pose was holding My head at the correct angle. I was laying on a table with My shoulders slid all the way to the edge so there was no support under My head. To get My hair to hang straight I had to hold My head up. Talk about neck strain!

Jim, you are not the only one who wished Bill had thought to grab his camera that day! I suppose running for the camera isn't the first instinct for a man when his wife is frantically screaming for help. I can laugh about the incident now, but at the time I was in tears and embarrassed to death!:-)

Wanda, that's too funny. Too bad Bill didn't grab the camera and get a shot of that. Oh, maybe not that wouldn't have been very nice of him, but I'd love to see it. Jim

Nice view onsense of motion...

I think I would like this one more if Wanda's head were tilted into frame right...Giving the idea of her hair being caught in the wind....

I really enjoy how you isolate her so well with the lighting...Have to goo back and look at your lighting setup again...

Thanks Bill

Jim,
Your comment made Me laugh because believe it or not, I DID get My hair sucked up in a vacuum once! Don't ask how, it's a long and embarrassing story! Bless Bill's heart, as the tears rolled down My cheeks he patiently unwound My hair off the roller. I thought for sure we were going to have to cut it but he managed to rescue Me with only a little hair loss that day. Since then I try to always put My hair UP before vacuuming! (silly grin)

turn it off! turn it off! Wow that was close. I thought Wanda was about to be sucked in to a big vacuum cleaner, couldn't have that now could we.

Interesting views, Bill. Rotating images and cropping can change the aspect in very different points of view. This colour looks stunning, despite of the fact that there is something more mystic and adventurous in the B&W presentation which I prefer to this one.
Could be that putting the face more straight or forward for this view would make it look more natural with the fan story you brought here. It is indeed seldom and unusual to bend the head backwards when facing an airstream. Despite of that, a good idea.

This picture is kind of scary.
