It was the summer of 2009 when I invited Lucy to join me on the porch for a gin and tonic. The birds were chirping in the trees and a squirrel played games in the branches high above.


We chatted... and I will admit, it was definitely a one sided conversation, but Lucy loved being out in the fresh air. So I set up the tripod and got this shot of us enjoying a lovely summer day together.


I got a few 4x6 prints made and then decided to send some photos to friends back east. I got blank postcards and attached the photos.

On the back I wrote... "Having a wonderful time in Rowlett. Wish you were here...." Love, Lucy
