The Little Lighthouse that Should Have Been Saved

West End on Lake Pontchartrain

Though the tidal surge of Hurricane Katrina knocked this historical lighthouse off its moorings it was in fair enough shape to save and restore. I am wondering if after 22 months there is any hope.
Below is a photo I took of it only 6 weeks after Katrina.

Yes, Coleen, it is in the process of being fully restored. Take a look at Lake Pontchartrain Basin's web site www.saveourlake.org for information on "The New Canal Lighthouse."
